Once arrived at the designated location, the participants are divided into teams of ca. 12 people and assigned a work station complete with equipment, cookers, aprons and chef’s hats. The task is to cook a typical Italian 3-course meal in a limited period of time.
The time limit is 60 minutes and when the countdown starts, the participants have to run to the pantry filled to the brim with fruit and vegetables, rice, pasta, dairy products, meat etc. to choose the ingredients needed to prepare their dishes.
When the time is up, the dishes are put under scrutiny by a jury of professional chefs that will judge them based on presentation, flavour and team collaboration. Once evaluated, discarded or applauded, the winning team is announced and awarded!
